Known bugs
Things that will crash the app for sure
These are some things that will simply crash the app because it can’t handle them:
- Entering gibberish into the search bar
- Trying to open a tweet when its parent thread has tweets missing
- Corollary: opening any tweet that is part of an extremely long reply thread will probably make the app crash
- Any “card” (aka, a preview image or other content that gets embedded in a tweet) that isn’t recognized
- This includes Twitter Spaces, periscope broadcasts, and other things that I haven’t taught the scraper to recognize yet
Things that will make the app misbehave or not work correctly, but hopefully not crash
Besides that, the following things are generically “buggy” in various ways, and tend to misbehave because they’re not fully ironed out yet:
- “Tombstones” (tweets that got deleted, Twitter banned the person who posted them, or aren’t available for other reasons)
